Some Real Facts About The Electronic Cigarette

without comments

You might have already heard about some of the news and rumors that are going around about the electronic cigarette device if you are a smoker. You are probably still on the fence about what you think about the device and may need to know a few more facts before you make up your mind about whether or not this is the product for you or someone you know who smokes.

The first thing you need to know is that the electronic cigarette is not, as of yet, approved by the Food and Drug Administration due to a fear that if a smoker were to misuse the device, they may receive nicotine poisoning. So there is a legitimate call for caution before deciding if this is what you need. However, there are also many health officials who believe the device to be a much much healthier alternative to smoking conventional cigarettes.

The electronic cigarette is considered healthier because it does not use many of the chemicals that the big tobacco corporations put into conventional cigarettes. It also does not use tobacco, fire, or smoke. Instead, what takes the place of the smoke is a liquid solution that is composed of water, alcohol, nicotine, and various other liquids.

Since you have heard about the electronic cigarette, you have heard many people say that it is cancer free. This comes from the fact that many of the chemicals that are known to cause lung cancer are completely left out, but research is still being conducted to determine how much safer this device can be as far as cancer or other side affects are concerned. There is no guarantee as of yet that the product is completely harmless, but what is known is that is more than likely better than burning tobacco.

Another aspect of the electronic cigarette that is receiving attention is that it is very cost efficient. Just one of the cartridges that contains the e-liquid is the equivalent of one whole pack of cigarettes. This makes the electronic cigarette a more economy friendly cigarette. A feature the electronic cigarette has that your friends and family may like is that it has no odor. And the smoke that is emitted is actually a liquid vapor that does not stain your teeth or make your furniture smelly. It is important that you do some of your own research before you make the decision of whether or not the electronic cigarette is the product for you. You should ask people who have used it before and see if they were satisfied with the product and got the results they were looking for.

What Makes Floods So Dangerous And How To Avoid The Dangers

without comments

Floods are one of the worst things to go through because it will cause so much damage. When you have a really bad storm it can cause a flood in your city or town. It will flood your streets, knock down your homes, drag your cars, and tear down the light pole. If you get caught in the middle of the flood, you will not be able to get out yourself. If you try, it can or will kill you. Firefighters have to get you out before you drown due to the car taking in water or before it drags you away.

Your homes will get damaged and ripped apart, and then it will float away with the water and it can end up anywhere. Floods take many lives, and it can injure you really bad. I have seen on TV that a flood took an entire town in a few hours. Cars were everywhere and had people in them, and people were trapped on the tops of their houses. Water was flowing down the streets and down really big hills, destroying everything in sight. Poles fell on cars, and electricity was going everywhere. People were so scared they were panicking in fear.

The flood took the ground out from under the houses, dropping it bit by bit until it took it all. Gas stations were taken out and the gas went into the water, which made it even more dangerous for the people and their young ones to be near. Do you know what can happen if there is electricity in the water? It can send electrical charges everywhere and if you get in the water, it will send it through you too and kill you. It can cause massive mudslides that can bury you in the mud. Because the dirt that was taken from the ground is mixed with the water, it will cause a mudslide.

Floods can be caused by a hurricane, a storm, or a dam. Any one of these can be more dangerous than the other. It depends on the amount of the water that is coming. Floods will take everything you have left in your life, and it can take one of your loved ones away from you. If you have a flood warning, try to get away from your town as fast as you can before it gets there. Protect your family at all costs.

without comments

Have you really looked at your house and your furnishings lately? Most of you never really look at any of them until you go to move them. You could end up with moisture damage to your pictures that you have hanging on your walls. You could have fire damage from a smoker on your couches or chairs, bedding or clothes. It is extremely difficult to keep up with house work and protect your home from damage too.

With all of you having to go out of the home and work to help keep your family afloat your personal possessions have become easier targets for these damages. You are so tired from working all day that most of the time you just do not have time to clean your home as you used to be able to do before you went to work. In older days many women stayed home and cleaned your homes daily, stopping most of these damages from happening. Some of the water damage still happened, like the damages to your floors, as we did not have the means of removing all the left over water like we have now.

Today you might be lucky to dust your pictures or wipe down your walls once a month, if then. We are so busy with the many other things we need to worry about that the items in your home might become hit by these damages and you would never know until the damage is done. If someone in your home smokes cigarettes, cigars, or a pipe, you can have a tremendous amount of smoke damage that you will probably not notice until you go to do some deep cleaning in the house.

If you have children running around your home, then they alone can create more messes in a few hours than you can clean up in a day. They can spilling things on the carpet that could be causing mold by the time you discover it is there. They can track in water and mud on your carpets also.

You might not eliminate the number of dishes you have to do or the number of loads of laundry, but you can invest in a good carpet shampooer and keep a check on your plumbing and appliances to reduce the risk of water damage and mold. If you have a smoker in the home, banish them to the outside to smoke, It is cleaner and healthier for you all. You will never prevent all of the damage that family wear and tear can do to a house, but you have to do what you can just to try and keep up.

You Never Know When Your Home Could Be In The Path Of A Wildfire

without comments

When we as homeowners are faced with the dangers of wildfires, the damages from these will be just as bad as a regular fire. Sometimes these will be much worse for two reasons. One, these are totally out of our control and two, you could lose everything you own. The really bad thing about these types of fires is that they are usually started by acts of nature, arson, or sheer carelessness. Very few are started by accidents. When these fires start, they are usually full blown before the fire fighters can even get started to try to put them out.

If you have a home built in a wooded area out of of town, you will really need to do some things to keep it safe. Try to keep the trees at least 30 feet from your home. This will help keep a fire from your front door and you will be able to keep the limbs from landing on your roofs when the wind is blowing really hard. You will also need to keep the eves on your home clean. If you find a piece of land that happens to have a creek on it, the better off you might be in case there is a fire because it might help stop it on one side anyway.

You might want to build your home on top of a hill or a slight incline. This might slow it down some, but if the wildfire is moving very fast, nothing is going to stop it. All you can do is try to be ready to leave if that time comes. You will need to have emergency bags for each member of your family and have them where you can grab them quick. If you have time, try to shut off the main power to the home so that it does not explode. The best time to do this is if you see smoke in the distance and it looks like it is moving quickly.

As soon as you see smoke, call your local fire department and try to tell them where the fire is and how big you think it might be. If you can not tell them for sure where this fire is or how bad it is, try to at least get them close. Do not wait for them to get there because the fire might beat them to you. Always think about yourselves and the lives of your family first and the things in your home later. When you buy this home you will need to find an insurance agent to help you with the amount of fire insurance you will need. They will work with you to get the best policy to cover the whole costs of replacing the home if you were to have a fire.

Bathroom Black Mold

without comments

In your bathroom, you can have mold around the tub, sinks, and toilet. In your walls, you can have black mold, and you can see it if it is really bad. It is caused by the moisture from when you take a bath or a shower. There is mildew in your bathroom that grows with the mold. This causes a health problem because it is toxic and it will spread everywhere in the walls.

It eats off the paper off the wall and your drywall. It likes deep dark areas to grow and spread. Black mold is not a joke that you think is funny. It is a serious matter, and it can really hurt you and your family. It loves to get into moist areas, especially where the water can get to or the moisture can get to. It is a spore, and it can get anywhere when it spreads. It will cause you more problems if you don’t get it taken care of.

Mold is a nasty thing, and it is like an insect because it can get in your walls and it breeds. Your bathroom is a perfect place for mold to grow. You can smell it with your nose. It has a musty odor to it. It is dangerous to have around your family because it can give them breathing problems, allergic reactions, make you bleed out your nose, cause itchy eyes and an itchy throat. It even gets behind the wallpaper, and then you will start to see it in the cracks.

Then you have to get rid of it and get some new wallpaper. You can get rid of it by yourself, or you can get some one to do it for you. It makes your walls weak and gross. You need a vent to get the moisture out of your bathroom so mold will not get in it. If you have mold already, you need to get it out of there.

You can get rid of it by taking cleaning sprays and spraying it until it dies. You have to scrub it off to make sure it is gone. The best stuff is bleach or some green cleaning supplies. What it does is it eats it right off the walls and it then you have to dry it really well so it won’t come back. There are some things you might have to replace. A professional will help you get it changed and taken care of for you if you need them to.
