Rising Water Due To Melting Ice

without comments

Every year more and more pollution is being put in the air and in the last few years it has done a lot of damage to the ice lands. Did you know that in 2003 the ice lands of Greenland, Alaska, and Antarctica has melted over 2 trillion tons of ice due to global warming? This is causing animals to lose their homes and food supply. It is also causing them to die and is causing them to become extinct. Satellites have shown how bad it is getting and how much damage is being done.

The satellites are showing and proving that it global warming is occurring because of the data that is being sent to scientists. The satellites are showing that the ice is disappearing and the water levels of the ocean are getting higher. The ice is still melting and it is damaging the environment. Greenland, Alaska, and Antarctica are melting at different rates, some not as much as the others, but still at a bad rate. Some years are better than others because not so much ice has melted, but every year is different, some really bad, others slightly.

Alaska is not as bad as Greenland, but still bad enough that it has lost 400 billion tons of ice in 2003. Did you know in the past few years due to global warming the sea water levels have risen one-fifth of an inch? If this keeps up, the ice will all melt and it can bring floods to other part of the world due to the rise of sea levels. The water is also expanding from the melting of the ice because it is getting warmer. The animals that live in the cold must have it cold and have to have the ice to live. Did you also know that due to the warmer climate, the glaciers are also shrinking?

Our planet is getting new damage everyday due to the pollution and the melting of ice. Do you know what kind of pollution is in the air which causes global warming and our ice to disappear? It is thought that greenhouse gases are what are damaging the environment. Here are three of the greenhouse gases, methane gas, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide these are what do damage to our world. People have to stop polluting the air because it is damaging the earth and the way we all live and survive.

Pollution Is One Form Of Smoke Damage We Must Learn To Control

without comments

Have you ever really looked at they line and saw this brownish color hanging under the cloud line? A lot of this that you see is the product from all of the vehicles that cause pollution everyday. Our country has put a lot of pressure on the automobile companies to build cleaner cars with less toxins that are put in the air. But every day the number of drivers increase and many of them are driving the older cars. Some drivers can not afford these new vehicles because the price might just be out of their reach. Some of these drivers might not have the best of credit to help them get a new one.

In our world today, we hear about all of the plans our government wants to put in place to help save our planet. They call it global warming and emissions control. These are both dealing with the cleaning of our air supply. We can help also by doing things like burning cleaner fuels or even try to cut back on our driving time. If you do not need to be on the road, stay at home more often and this will help keep all of the nasty fumes from going into our air supply. You might even try biking or walking as an alternative means of travel when possible.

Our big companies have already been made to stop sending so much of their emissions into our air. But they are still allowed to emit pollution. With us being told that our air is still in bad shape, these companies need to take in upon themselves to find ways to stop polluting because after all, they live here too. They also need to find ways to prevent all of these ponds of toxic waste that are now causing us a lot of problems. We also have mounds of toxic hills from the old mines that are no longer in use. These not only cause health problems to us, but the gases that escape are being absorbed into our air supply.

Smoke damage to the air we breath can cause us all kinds of health problems and to the animals life we share this planet with. The problems that this toxic smoke can cause to us could be everything from breathing problems, skin rashes, and cancers. Even natural wildfires contribute to the problem, but that is nature and there is not much we can do about that, but we can try to eliminate as much pollution as we can that we cause ourselves.

Deadly Smoke All Over The World

without comments

One of the worst pollutants that is affecting our planet right now is smoke. Smoke from cars, smoke from industries, smoke from fires, and smoke from tobacco. Some are more significant than others, but all of them contribute to the nastiness in the air that we breathe. Some of these sources of smoke are believed to be changing the climate of our world. This is in turn supposedly causing several species of animals to become endangered, humans among them.

Could it really be true that we are endangering our own survival because of the way we are polluting the air with certain types of smoke and are causing the temperature of our atmosphere to rise too quickly? Many scientists and environmentalists think so. There have been many studies done concerning global warming and they are still being done even now. Some people are very skeptical as to whether the human race is a big of a contributing factor as some would suggest and others believe the entire idea is hogwash.

So what should the average person believe about the studies that have been done? Should we believe the cynics who say that the warming the planet is experiencing is only a natural cycle that has occurred many times for our planet or the ones who say we are having a definite impact with all our pollution? What we should really be asking is what if it is our fault for a large part and we sit back as individuals and allow it to happen?

Would we not feel really bad if we allow the polluting smoke to continue and destroy our planet when with some drastic changes in the way we pollute could have altered the outcome? It seems it would be the wisest course of action if we went ahead and take every precaution we can to ensure that we will not be responsible for the eventual death of our planet.

The polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate and no one can deny that. The question is are we causing it and if we are, is it too late for us to do anything about it. It could be that the situation has gone too far for us to be able to change the outcome. It is thought that the Polar bears will be extinct before many more years before their hunting grounds are by and large the ice that is melting. We fear that sea levels will rise and cities along coastal regions will disappear. This scenario alone should be enough reason for us to begin making the changes necessary in the amount of air pollution and emissions of carbon substances that we are releasing. Even if it turns out that we were not the cause of a warming planet, it will at least be a cleaner one.

Pollution has definitely become a problem around the world the past hundred years, but what affect is it going to have on us as a species?
