Water Damage Can Be Caused By Leaky Plumbing

without comments

Leaky pipes can cause major water and even mold damage to your house. A leaky pipe can come from anywhere like in the walls, under the house, under the sink, and many other places. It can cause the water to soak in the walls, floor, carpet, and your things. It can stain the wall and cause them to warp, and that means that water damage has set in and there might be mold growth. It can stain the walls brown or black, and you could see black mold on the outside of the wall, which can also mean there is a lot of mold in the wall.

If a leaky pipe is from the shower, it can cause the water to run all over the floor, which can flood it and cause it to flood other rooms of your house. It can cause water to run into the bedroom if it is near the bathroom or in the hallway and can cause water to spread out in the walls. It can also cause the water to go through the floor. Water can spray everywhere like all over the walls, carpet, floor, electronics, and on cords. It can cause sparks, and electric currents to flow through the water, which makes it very dangerous. You have to turn off the water for the water to stop spraying and so you can fix the problem, and you will have to replace the pipes or the seal around the pipes.

You have to let the glue dry before you turn back on the water because it can bust off the connecter and you will have a water problem again. You might have to tear out the whole wall to get to the problem because it may be hard to find or hard to get to. Water leaks can also cause low pressure of water coming into your house, and you will have to find the leak fast before it cause more damage. If you cannot find it you will have to call the water company to come find the leak, they might have to go under the house or tear up the ground to find the problem.

A water leak under the sink can cause rotting, odors, and warping of the floor of the sink and the wall that it is connected to, and the sink to bow down. If it is next to the living room or the bedroom, it can cause the carpet to become soggy and mold can grow under it. It can cause damage to the carpet, floor, and walls that are near the kitchen or the bathroom. It can take up to a few hours to get the water up from the carpet and cleaned out of the walls. You will also have to clean the outside of the walls so it will not stain it, or you will have to replace the wall depending on how bad the damage is.
