Giving Up Tobacco And Using An Electric Cigarette

without comments

If you were ever to find out the many chemicals that the cigarette companies put into those cigarettes you smoke, what would you do? We all know it is not easy to quit even if you have smoking them only a year or two. If you could find a way to get away from all of those chemicals, would you take it? There is an item on the market that can help break you away from these chemicals and those old cigarettes as well. It can help you get away from the tobacco. It is an e-cigarette. You might have heard it called many things. It is referred to as the smokeless cigarette, the mini, and the electronic cigarette.

You smoke it like the a tobacco cigarette, but without all of the same chemicals. You will not have the tar, glue, or all of the harshness of the dried tobacco as this e-cigarette has no tobacco. It is a small powerful battery that you hold in your fingers. It has a small atomizer which sends a small vapor of water and nicotine through a filter. This filter equals the same as 15 to 20 of those real cigarettes with you only having to carry the e-cigarette itself. You can get rid of all of the stuff that you have to hang on to when you smoke those tobacco cigarettes.

Using the e-cigarettes will also take away the secondhand smoke that comes off of the old cigarettes. The walls in your home will not need to be painted as often either because this smoke is no longer there. You will not have the awful taste that smokers wake up with every morning either. Your friends will come back around you because you do not always smell like burned tobacco. There are not many things that smell as bad as stale tobacco breath.

The e-cigarette is as easy to use as the real cigarettes, but are just so much cleaner for you and all around you. You do not have to worry about your clothes getting burn holes or your mate falling asleep with it in hand because there is no. You can use it like a real cigarette or for a fast boost. In other words you can sit and smoke it like you would a real cigarette or go out the door and take a fast puff and return to whatever you were doing. You can not do this with a real cigarette as they are to costly to waste.

Oxytocin Experiments Prove That Behavior Can Be Manipulated In Humans

without comments

During the past few years scientists have been researching the effects of oxytocin and wondering about how it is involved with all aspects of bonding behavior and trust in humans. In almost every aspect of our lives, there is some aspect of trust involved and increasing the chance of a trust bond would be a valuable tool in business.

In experiments held in Zurich, researchers gave subjects oxytocin in an effort to manipulate their trust levels to create a desired reaction. These researchers used a synthetic oxytocin and gave it to their subjects via a nasal spray. This spray absorbed into the mucous membranes and crossed the barriers into the brain. Researchers tell us that the small doses were harmless, only altering their oxytocin levels on a temporary basis.

Over 150 male students from universities in Zurich showed up to take part in this battery of experiments. The volunteers for this experiment were each in their 20s and they each got a bottle of nasal spray. Some bottles contained the liquid trust hormone and all the others just got a placebo up their noses.

The first experiment was a simple game of trust and money, backed with some real financial reward. The volunteers were split into two groups. One group played trustees and one group played investors. The investors were given 12 units of money. They were given leave to approach a trustee and broker a deal. They alone decided how much of their money to hand over to the trustee. When the investment increased 4 times, the trustee then got to decide how much to give the investor back and how much to keep. This means the investor was handing over money with no promise of return.

The study was overwhelming. 45 percent of the subjects who recieved oxytocin sprays invested the maximum amount of money they could. They handed over all 12 units of their money. In the group who did not recieve oxytocin and got the placebo spray, only 21 percent invested the maximum amount and showed real trust. That makes the results over 2 to 1.

In a look at the whole data, those that recieved oxytocin invested 17 percent more than those that recieved the placebo. Liquid trust hormones increased return by 17 percent. Would you like your commissions to increase by that amount?

A second experiment was conducted pitting the investors against a different kind of trustee. The sprays given were the same, but this time the trustee was replaced with a computer program. This was to judge whether or not the hormone was directly related to social interactions or if it just enouraged users to take risks.

With the computer experiments, the results were almost even. The liquid trust spray does not prompt you to trust a computer.

Smokers Are Applauding The Electric Cigarette

without comments

Finally, smokers have a viable choice other than tobacco cigarettes. The electric cigarette has provided them with a way to smoke without a lot of worries. Every smokers would probably like to quit, that is a whole lot easier said than done. So, many of them usually end up going back to cigarettes, sometimes even after they have been quit for months or longer. With the electric cigarette, they can continue to smoke for as long as they want to. If they want to quit, they can do that too.

The thing about an electronic cigarette is the fact that there are so few ingredients in the nicotine liquid that is in the filter. This liquid is heated by a battery an an atomizer and this is what allows the smoker to get the nicotine they want. They do not have to also get all of the chemicals that are in tobacco because there is no tobacco in this smoking device. When a smoker lights a tobacco cigarette, it makes it carcinogenic. The tar that is produced is one of things that harms a smoker just like the many deadly chemicals that are also in the tobacco.

So, when a smoker can have the nicotine they crave, have the satisfaction of holding a cigarette in their hand, although it is a little different, the similarity is close enough that they get the same feeling when smoking a traditional one. They are a little heavier and perhaps slightly larger, but very close in resemblance. One of the biggest addictions a smoker has to smoking is emotional. They are accustomed to placing something in their mouth and holding something in their hands, or between their fingers. The electric cigarette satisfies all of the addictions with a lot less harm for the body.

There is also a limited odor associated with this smoking device. Since there is no part of it that is actually burned, it does not produce smoke in the traditional sense. It has a water vapor that quickly disappears. It is thought to be harmless to others by many researchers, so there is not much concern at all about secondhand smoke. Another factor about this product is that is costs about half as much as smoking tobacco cigarettes. This is something else that smokers are applauding. All of these reason combined are what is causing so many to give this product a try and many are wishing that it had came along a lot sooner.

Are Our Water Supplies Really Safe?

without comments

With all of our coalmines that have to put their waste into holding ponds, they had better do something to make sure that it doesn’t end up leaking into our fresh water supply and causing water damage to the landscape and the people in the communities around it. We have several hundred thousand mines that are abandoned mines in our country alone, not counting the ones that are still in use. With all of these mines working and not working, the damages to us and our way of life are becoming closer to causing us problems by way of our health than any of us know or have even had to think about until lately.

Now, we have had a spill from one of these holding tanks that dumped billions of contaminated water and fly ash onto this small nearby neighborhood community by coating some 300 acres after a dike burst at this retention pond. This community of about 200 or more residents flooded this company with questions about the problem that could arise from this in regards to themselves and their livestock. This company told them that they would see to the clean-up, and the EPA said that they found some elevated levels of arsenic in some of the surface water but that they hadn’t found any near the intake of their water treatment plant that supplies the town’s water supply.

All of the mines that we have in our country that were worked in some part of history have left several mounds of waste that most of us didn’t even know were there. These companies were supposed to have cleaned up these sites but a lot of them are still left in the air to dry up, which means that they are sent into our air and can cause all kinds of health problems for us unknowing people. We have bikers groups that have been trying to find places to just go to and ride their bikes without the problems with too many different drivers invading their space and their fun.

Some of these mines might have been marked off at the time they were abandoned but over time, we have gotten closer to these underground tunnels and the dangers of the ground falling in. Some of the markers may have either gotten so rotten that they fell apart and never got put back up as the owners are probably no longer alive. Some of them didn’t have any family members to keep watch over the sites so they were forgotten.
