“This McGeary Organic fertilizer has been specially formulated for alfalfa, clover, or other legumes. It will also work well on beans where the soil test shows phosphorus is high and potassium is low. In addition, soil tests should be made to determine the necessity of adding specific micro minerals because legumes do have specific trace mineral requirements. McGeary Organics 0-2-9 contains a special blend of compost, colloidal phosphate and Langbeinite (potassium magnesium double sulfate). It is OMRI Listed and NOP compliant. The application rate below is based on the nutrient needs of moderately high yielding crops being grown in soils of low to moderate fertility. Soils that have been well fertilized in the recent past, or have received manure or compost within the past year should be fertilized at rates lower, in some cases considerably lower, than those listed here.
