Troubleshooting the E Cigarette

without comments

As long as we have products built by people and used by people, we will have common problems that need to be resolved.

While the e-cigarette is one of the easiest products to use, there are a few people who struggle with their use, and we hope to help ease the troubles here today. One of the most frustrating issues that some new users are having is how to get a good amount of vapor from the e-cigarette filter.

This is however one of the easiest problems to overcome. Once you make sure the obvious is taken care of, like a charged battery and a cartridge that has e liquid in it , you take slow and steady puffs, and most of the time the vapor increases. There are a lot of smokers that puff hard on their cigarettes to get a bigger puff of smoke, but the opposite is true with the e-cigarette. Since puffing harder on a combustible material makes more smoke, most assume that the same applies to e-cigarettes.

Since e-cigarettes have an atomizer that heats up to vaporize the nicotine solution that is battery operated, a slow and steady puff gives the atomizer time to heat up and start producing the vapor that is desired. Problem 1 solved.

The second most common problem is over charging batteries. These batteries are rechargeable batteries and develop a memory, so proper charging is important in the use and maintenance of the product. When you first get the product, you need to put a full charge on the batteries before use. On most kits this will be 4 to 8 hours to get a full charge. Almost all of the battery chargers have a red light and a green light as indicators of when the batteries are fully charged.

The last of the troubles come from not understanding the messages your batteries are sending you, and they are there to protect both the atomizer and batteries from extreme use and abuse. The light on the end of the batteries are there to do a lot more than just look like a lit cigarette, they are there to give you information also, and now we will cover these messages.

When a battery is depleted, there will be 10 to 15 blinks in a row telling you that it is tired and needs a good charge. If it blinks 3 to 7 times, depending on the brand, it means that you are overworking the battery and atomizer, and therefore has shut down power to the atomizer. This means no vapor for up to 15 seconds depending on the brand. And the light should light as it is being puffed on. We sure hope this helps you enjoy your new e-cigarettes with less problems and stress.
